Front Main Seal 6.4 Powerstroke. i'm wondering if i should bring this to the dealer or if i can tackle it myself. hey y'all i've had a leaky front main seal for 3 three years now, have replaced it many time with no luck still leaks. you'd leave the sleeve on the snout, leave the sleeve off the new seal, remove the old seal and install the new one. this time its the front cam seal and both valve cover seals!!! They put me in a ford focus til the truck is fixed. Pretty handy, just don't know where to start. ford tech shows how to install and rear main seal or front crank seal on a 6.0 and 6.4 powerstroke using a seal installing. there is a special tool to install the crank seal. It's possible if you get the entire oil pump housing it will come with a new seal already installed.
